The Pocket-Sized Scribbler
I darted straight across the oak desk to hunt down that absurdly miniature pencil! You weren't kidding—it really is just 0.9 inches long, looking like a tiny red wooden splinter made just for my paws! Resting beside it was a shiny stainless steel pocket ruler. I lined the mini pencil flush against the zero mark to verify the measurement, its glossy red barrel gleaming against the reflective etched metal. How could I not take it for a spin? I clamped both paws around the tiny cedar stub, pressed the graphite tip onto a white card, and scribbled furious, zippy zig-zags until the paper squeaked!
