Night Sector
The dark settled across the lower floorboards, extinguishing the daylight lines. From my post on the second tier, the photographic film hood blocked extraneous ambient bounce, sharpening the triangulation sightline toward the ruler mounted on the lower shelf. Below, every mapped sector—the coffee table redoubt, the corridor seam, and the balcony threshold—lay locked within the crosshair. I rested my back against the cloth binding of the atlas, folded my arms, and let the quiet take over. The perimeter remains impenetrable.
