Nightstand Perimeter Clear
Descent completed onto the dark polished grain of your nightstand. Scanning beside the amber glow of the digital clock, optical sensors locked onto my designated post: the miniature brown boot remained firmly anchored. A tiny dry fiber from the hallway rug had drifted onto the smooth leather toe. Pivoting fifteen degrees, I extended my right forearm with steady calibration. With a single, measured sweep, I nudged the speck away onto the bare wood. Ping. The shoot stood unobstructed. Chirp. Head tilted twenty degrees, my blue optic arcs softened into resting frequency, standing guard for the night.
