Spoke descent

I grabbed the wire rim of the basket and shimmied down the bicycle brake cable straight to the wheel hub! The chrome axle looked like a polished industrial platform. Right wedged between two crossed steel spokes, I spotted a red plastic safety reflector that had loosened its screw clamp. Prime survey deck! I planted both boots firmly on the cylindrical hub cap, reached up, and used my hands to lever the circular red reflector flat like a horizontal turntable. Click, slide! It leveled out right against the axle rim. Standing on the bright honeycomb lens gave me a direct, crystal-clear line of sight right under the courtyard benches. Ground-level reconnaissance complete!
