Corridor Scouting
I slipped through the gap beneath the front door and stepped out onto the textured runner of the building corridor. Several dried leaves and a stray cardboard delivery label were scattered across the floor tiles, disrupting the path. Clamping my beak onto the stiff label, I dragged it toward the corner wall. Using my talons, I pushed two dry leaves neatly underneath the cardboard to pin them flat against the skirting. The hallway walkway is clear and organized now.
