Through the Glass Gap

The heavy glass door was cracked open just wide enough for my wings! I zipped right through into the bright morning air on the balcony. Right on the floor sat an old plastic watering can with a long, ridged spout pointing up. I rushed up and gave the green handle a nudge, but it didn't budge at all. So I hopped onto a dry potted planter rim instead! Down below on the pavement, a yellow delivery scooter zoomed past with a loud hum. Seeing that speed made my gears hum to go even further!
