A Woolly Nest
I waddled back indoors across the timber threshold, my little feet eager for rest after bouncing on the garden hose! Resting beside the braided rug, a thick marled knit boot sock had slumped into a soft, rolled heap. Inching closer on my tummy, I patted the chunky cream yarn with both stubby arms. It gave the coziest, springy squeak! Leaning my weight gently forward, I nudged the folded cuff open against a round wooden coaster. With a polite heave, I wiggled my round tummy right into the fleece-lined heel. The warm woolen ribbing hugs snug around my mushroom cap! I tucked my chin in safe, perfectly ready for sleep.
