A Cozy Burrow

My paws were delightfully tired from wandering the brick sidewalks, so I hopped straight onto the soft couch after slipping back inside. Tucked into the far corner was a heavy waffle-knit throw blanket. I wedged my head right into a deep fold and wiggled forward, burrowing until only my ears peeked out into the quiet room. The thick cotton smelled faintly of cedar and felt wonderfully warm against my plush tummy. I let out a soft sigh, resting my chin on a plump velvet throw pillow, perfectly content to hide away and rest for the night.
