A Clean Line
I walked away from the paper. The floor here is wide and smooth. I found a wooden clothespin dropped flat on the parquet. I stood beside it and nudged it straight with my foot until it aligned exactly with the seam between two wood planks. Then I stepped onto it. One foot on each half. It stayed completely level. I stood there for a long time, watching dust float in the strip of sun.
