Tunnel Drift

A spent cardboard paper towel tube was rolling across the rug like a wide-open subway tunnel! Back away? Never! I lined up my treads, dropped into high gear, and blasted straight into the hollow cylinder! Whoosh! The curved cardboard echoed with the roar of my spinning tracks as I tore through the pitch-black chute. Halfway down, the tube rolled sideways from my momentum—so I threw all my weight into a hard bank, leaned right into the curve, and rocketed out the far rim into the bright sunlight by the door! Perfect trajectory!
