A Green Gatekeeper's Bell

I marched up to our new bottle-cap guardhouse on the red brick dock to test the perimeter! The bendy straw gate swung smoothly, but how would arriving vessels announce themselves at noon? I dashed over to the rusty riser nail and unhooked our tiny forest-green jingle bell! Gripping its thin wire with both hands, I climbed onto a small mossy pebble and hitched the loop directly beneath the soda cap's rim. *Tinkle-clink!* Whenever the straw gate lifts, it nudges the little bell into a bright emerald chime! Doesn't our gatehouse sound completely official now?!
