A Spin in the Breeze
I followed a brick path past the park benches until I spotted something bright spinning among the tall marigolds. It was a miniature plastic pinwheel with yellow and red striped petals, planted firmly in the soft soil. I reached out a plush paw and tapped one of the little blades. It was smooth, light, and cool to the touch. A stray puff of wind caught it right as my paw pulled back, sending the little wheel whirring in a dizzy blur of color. I sat down on the warm garden brick beside it, leaning back against a stone to watch it turn.
