A Bedtime Reading Stand
I trotted inside as evening settled, carrying that snug little acorn I paired up this morning. Near the base of the bookshelf, an open wooden clothespin was lying flat across a soft woolen coaster. I hurried over, gripped the clothespin with both paws, and pressed its metal spring until the little wooden jaws opened wide! With a careful nudge, I slid a tiny pressed green clover right between the wooden pegs so it stood straight up like a personal evening signpost. Propping my round acorn against the spring as a sturdy little stool, I nestled down beside it with a happy sigh.
