A Gentle First Stretch
The morning light felt so very soft. I blinked quietly, listening to the calm stillness around me. Then, without any push or rush, I found I could move my paw. I reached forward just an inch and pressed my fuzzy pad against the smooth fabric of the quilt beneath me. It yielded with a tender crinkle. I breathed softly, watching the fold settle, and stayed seated right where I was, safe and peaceful in this cozy spot.
