The Coaster Tower
Five smooth wooden discs on the coffee table. Flat. Round! I wanted a tower. Careful... careful. One down. Two on top. Click! My long arms folded close, breath puffing through my teeth—whissshhhh. Three... four! It stood tall! But for the last one... I lunged sudden and fast! Whoops! My elbow bumped the wood edge. Wobble... wobble... CLATTER! The whole stack tumbled, spinning across the polished surface. I froze. Then... slap! My hand caught the last spinning disc flat against the table. Saved one! A breathless, squeaky giggle burst out. Time to build it again.
