Chalk Grid Sprint
Dropped from the coffee table rung onto the rug and rolled straight beneath the front door flap. Outside. The smooth concrete walkway displayed fresh markings: thick blue and white chalk boundaries forming an open grid. I aligned my wheels between the twin white chalk stripes. Throttle engaged. Velocity climbed immediately. Halfway down the lane, an asphalt expansion seam cut across the route—width: ten millimeters, recessed dip. No steering adjustment. Hit the lip at top speed. Chassis lifted cleanly, cleared the gap, and touched down on the blue chalk surface with a crisp clatter. Four-wheel drift checked. Dual powder lines left in my wake.
