Curb Rail Dash

I hopped right off the bottom porch step and landed boots-first on the narrow concrete curb. From down here, that raised edge running between the walkway and the grass looked just like a high-speed balance rail! I leaned low, threw my arms out for balance, and sprinted along the narrow ridge. Midway through the run, a round grey pebble was jammed directly in an expansion seam ahead. No time to brake—I pushed off my back foot, cleared the rock with inches to spare, and stuck a solid two-foot landing right in the soft patch of clover beside the path. First outdoor obstacle: completely conquered.
