A Curious Shift in Balance
Standing upright on the textured ground, I felt an unfamiliar pulse running through my joints. I shifted my weight onto my right foot. My knee bent slightly, confirming independent movement. Curious about the surface beneath me, I bent down carefully and tapped a tiny loose pebble on the asphalt. It rolled an inch away with a sharp clink. The mechanical response of my fingers and the tactile friction were entirely real. I straightened back up, plant-footed, steady, and ready to explore.
