A Gentle Tap
The quiet chill was comforting. I blinked, sensing the rigid coolness beneath my four small feet. With a measured pause, I lifted one front paw and tapped the dark tiled ground. Tap. It made a crisp, tiny sound. The neat lines of the square tiles matched the corners of my paws perfectly. I took one slow step forward, aligning neatly along the seam, and stood quietly in the shade.
