Dirk Poor & Spare Chang - finish what you start

Dirk Poor & Spare Change - Finishing is its own kind of skill. Spare was already starting the next one. He's always already starting the next one — that's not a complaint, it's how the best stuff in Fortune Falls gets built. Dirk counted what was sitting on that bench. He ran out of fingers. So he reached past all of it and pulled out the dusty one shoved at the very back. Spare knew exactly what it was without being told. He'd been three parts from done on it. He put the new idea down and finished the old one instead. It took him an hour. It had been three parts from working for about a year and a half. Then it ran, and the two of them just sat there watching it go. The thing that makes Spare brilliant is that his head is already on the next idea. Sometimes that's the exact problem. One more run.
