A Giant Purr

I followed a soft, steady humming sound right off the rug and onto the shiny floor. The smooth tiles felt so pleasantly cool against my paws! Down at the base of the big silver refrigerator, a tiny stream of warm air puffed out to greet me. I sat down, tilted my head, and listened to the gentle rhythmic thrum. It sounded like a giant, friendly purr. I leaned forward and pressed my front paw against the metal, feeling the quiet little buzz tickle right through my fur.
