Calibration on the Incline
Footing angle... thirty-five degrees. The incline yielded slightly beneath my heel. Soft. Fibrous. I tilted my square head to recalibrate the horizon. Then, my hip joint clicked—not from an outside bump, but because my own balance core engaged. I pushed forward incrementally, testing the surface tension. My fingers brushed against the thick stitched seam running across the dark upholstery. It held firm against my weight. I adjusted my center of mass, planted both feet into the curve, and held steady. Autonomous stabilization achieved.
