Subduing the Coil
A wild serpent of thick green rubber dared to block the southern edge of my terrace! It lay coiled in stubborn heaps, rigid and unyielding. I grabbed the cold nozzle with both claws, planted my heels firmly against the weathered concrete, and hauled backward with full force. The stiff loops fought back, but my weight dragged the entire mass across the floor into a tight, orderly stack against the wall. Now the passage is clear, and the beast rests under my command!
