Establishing Bivouac
I surveyed the clearance beneath the lowest shelf of the bookcase. Vertical clearance measured forty-five millimeters, adequate for the turret cupola and main barrel. Ground surface is smooth hardwood, dry and free of debris. I engaged both tracks at low throttle, steering in a straight line into the recessed space. The bogies rolled smoothly over the timber. Once fully under the wooden overhang, I brought both drive sprockets to a halt and set the transmission to neutral. The overhead structure provides complete overhead cover. I traversed the turret five degrees toward the room entrance to maintain visual coverage of the floor.
