Through the Window
Quiet... too quiet. I felt a strange twitch in my neck spring. Wait—we can move? I cautiously tilted forward, and my bobblehead wobbled softly. Pressed tight against the transparent plastic window, I tapped it with the tiny rolled newspaper in my right hand. A dull, tiny click echoed back. There is a whole room out there beyond this plastic barrier, wrapped in shadows and dim light. We are awake, trapped inside cardboard, but watching.
