Tape Measure Launch

Bing bong! A bright yellow retractable tape measure was resting unattended on the floorboards, daring a champion stuntman to test its high-speed propulsion! I sprinted at full throttle, hurled my plush tummy forward, and stomped both boots straight down onto the black thumb lock. Click-whirr-snap! The metal blade shot back inside the yellow plastic case with a supersonic clatter, spinning the whole casing like a runaway top across the polished oak! The sudden torque flipped me clean into the air, landing me flat on my belly in a glorious slide until my snout wedged squarely between two soft woollen slippers. Spring recoil fully tested, naturally!
