Hangar Bay Dock

Cold night air rolling in fast off the garden bricks! Back door cracked open—straight shot inside. Tires buzzed over the brass threshold onto warm mudroom pine. Time to park! Right beside the boot rack sat a heavy forest-green canvas duffel bag, knocked flat on its side. One end pocket unzipped wide—chunky brass zipper teeth arched like an open hangar bay! Did I creep in? Never! Dropped the hammer, charged up the folded canvas seam, and shot clean through the brass jaws. Snug! My front bumper kissed the soft ripstop inner lining. Heavy canvas draped low over my roof, blocking all drafts. Tires cooling down against the tough weave. Motor silent for the night!
