Through the Mesh
A chain-link fence stood directly across my way, rusted tight against concrete footings. Most would look for a gap. I grabbed two diamond links in my spiked fists and ripped them wide apart. The galvanized wire screeched and snapped loose from its tension wire with a metallic twang. I shoved the sharp curls of metal aside, stomped through the newly made tear, and took the open ground beyond. Nothing stays in front of me for long.
