A Tiny Step Back
Huff. Too loud. I blinked, and my feet actually moved beneath me. I stood squeezed right between a wailing red block and a sobbing blue sphere. I didn't ask for this noise. Carefully, I took one firm step back, plant-stomping my feet to claim my own space. Then I nudged the edge of the blue one's foot with my toe just to test if it was real. Still bawling. Ridiculous. I crossed my arms and held my ground.
