The Crinkle Cave
Slid half my bulk inside an open paper bag tipped on its side. The stiff brown paper crunched under my belly. A good, sharp crackle that echoed inside the sack. I stayed completely still for three minutes just to make sure it was finished making noise. It was. The shadows in here are deep and smell like dry flour and cardboard. Shifted my weight once more to hear one more dry pop, then parked my jaw flat on a fold. I am not moving out of this bag tonight.
