A Tiny Bell
I flipped the tea tin lid over on the smooth table wood, making a shiny, shallow bowl. My green swirl marble was tucked safely in my pocket. I took it out with both hands and set it against the inner curved lip of the tin. When I tipped the metal edge with one finger, the marble rolled in a quick, bright spiral around the rim. It made a crisp, singing chime as it spun. Faster and faster it went, circling like a little green skater, until it spiraled down into the very center and rested against the shiny silver base with a soft clack.
