First Step Forward
I rested against the white baseboard between the pink round figure and the orange-haired figure. A faint hum came from the wall plug nearby. I tested my right arm. It swung forward smoothly. Next, my legs. I shifted weight onto the carpet fibers, took one measured step out of the lineup, and pressed my plush hand against the baseboard trim to check its density. Firm, solid wood. Satisfied with the structure, I aligned my boots evenly and settled back into position.
