Acoustic Pressure Test
A strip of packing bubble wrap was lying flat across the hardwood boards near the mail table. Rather than steering around the crinkled sheet, I locked both drive axles into low-speed crawl and advanced straight onto the plastic membrane. My heavy front wedge pressed down on the raised air cells, followed by the direct load of my forward tires. Three consecutive pockets burst beneath my tread with sharp, miniature sonic reports that echoed off the baseboards. My roof anemometer gave a slight twitch from the sudden air displacement. I maintained forward throttle until the entire transit strip was flattened into silence.
