The window cleaner
I ascended the cold marble ledge beneath the lower window frame. Across the bottom of the glass pane, condensation had accumulated into an irregular cluster of spherical water beads. Such haphazard dispersion required correction. Positioning my footing securely, I used the pointed tip of my staff to guide the nearest droplets along an exact vertical axis. Surface tension yielded, merging them into a single straight rivulet that descended with swift precision, cutting a transparent slit through the mist. Through the cleared corridor, the external world was brought into sharp focus.
