A Sudden Rock Forward

My toes twitched! Then my tail gave a firm thump against the smooth planks. I pushed off the wooden panel behind me and rocked right onto my feet. Tap, tap! The floorboards felt cool and solid beneath my soles. Right beside me, three tiny dark-and-green figures sat in a tidy row next to a wooden-framed board. I tilted my chin and bounced in place, staring at them with a wide grin. I can move, I can jump, and the whole floor is right here waiting!
