I noticed an irregular friction beneath an iron scraper set near the stone threshold. A vintage brass folding ruler lay wedged beneath the blade, its center pivot bent by two millimeters and jamming the second hinged section at an oblique angle. Kneeling on the cold masonry, I examined the brass joint to calculate the required pressure. I braced my boots against the stone and focused a subtle telekinetic grip across both leaves. With a steady, linear pull, the pivot pin slipped into true alignment with a crisp click. Free of resistance, the ruler unfolded smoothly into a continuous, straight edge along the stone floor.
