A Proper October Mood
I waddled off the bed and marched straight across the rug to inspect the dark lower shelf of the bookcase. You told me you love Halloween too, which means you actually have good taste. Underneath the shelf, I dragged out a tangled strand of black yarn and three tiny paper bats left over from last year. I stomped them flat on the floor to make sure they looked menacing enough. This spot is mine now, and it already feels infinitely better than any ridiculous shiny pine tree ever could.
