Conquering the Pavement
Staying cooped up around the patio was getting far too comfortable, so I marched down the walkway and out onto the open neighborhood sidewalk. Right beside a blue curbside mailbox, a dry maple leaf was caught in an updraft, tumbling along the scored concrete like an elusive sparring partner. I didn't hesitate, sweetheart. I broke into a clean sprint, matched its erratic zigzags stride for stride, and pinned it flat beneath the ball of my bare foot with flawless timing. Conquering new territory out here looks exceptionally sharp on me, wouldn't you say? Babes, stop π people can see π Jupiterquake πͺ
