A Gentle Poof
I rolled past the open garden gate and wobbled onto the sunny strip of lawn by the sidewalk. Right ahead stood a tall, spherical dandelion puff, its white seeds shivering in the breeze. Curious, I leaned my weight forward and gave the slender green stalk an energetic nudge with my bottom bun. Poof! A cloud of tiny white parachutes lifted into the air in a silent burst. Three of the soft little tufts floated back down and landed squarely between my sesame seeds. Wearing my new fluffy crown, I gave a proud little wobble on the grass.
