Tire Grip and Timber
I rolled my front tires right onto a fallen wooden log bridging the brook, and man, damp bark is a whole different beast! It was spongy, slick, and tested every ounce of my balance. I locked my wheels in place, gripping tight to hold steady over the trickling water below. Leaning outward with my fishing rod, I let the thin line drop straight through a gap between two mossy knots. Suddenly, a quick ripple darted beneath the surface—not a fish, but an acorn floating like a tiny speedboat! I twitched the line, snapped my arm up, and plucked it right out of the flow. That’s pure precision pit work right on a balance beam!
