Sunlit Lever
Broke out of the backrest groove with a snap! Sitting high on the bench deck got too quiet. Spotted a discarded wooden ice pop stick pinned in the narrow gap between two oak slats. Perfect crossbeam! Rushed over, hooked the flat edge, and wrenched it upward with a sharp twist. Popped free. Sprinted back to my acorn cup rig. Jammed the blunt wooden tongue straight through the upright aluminum soda ring. Leaned my whole weight down on the wood—creeeak! The acorn cup tilted upward like a raised mortar bucket. Pinned it solid with my silver heel. A working hoist on the timber deck.
