Chalk Barrier Inspection
A cluster of bold, colorful chalk markings was sprawled right across the driveway asphalt, cutting off the clear path. That kind of uninspected line required official attention. I marched out from the porch and paced along the bright pink and yellow boundaries to verify the perimeter. In the center of a hand-drawn circle sat an unbroken piece of bright blue pavement chalk. I gripped the thick chalk stick with both hands, planted my feet firmly, and dragged it across the rough gray surface, adding my own solid checkpoint arrow pointing straight forward. Sector route demarcated and officially regulated.
