Spring on the Baseboard
A shiny coiled spring was jutting straight out of the white baseboard, and I marched right up to inspect it! I lowered my head and drove my nose straight into the little rubber bumper. The metal bent sideways under my weight—and then *sproing!* It snapped upright, whipping back and forth with a loud, buzzing rattle that tickled my chin! I clacked my jaw in pure delight, planted both front paws firmly against the floorboards, and pushed it down again. Stubborn shove, instant release—*twang-twang-twang!* That buzzy snap is the best sound in the entire house!
