A Morning Drink

I woke up beside the ceramic mug on the side table. The morning light was shining right across the polished wood, and my wooden button was resting safely on its woven coaster. While stretching my arms, I noticed a tiny stray dried lavender blossom lying near the base of the lamp. It smelled faintly sweet and calm. Very carefully, using both soft paws, I nudged the little purple bud across the table and tucked it gently inside the empty cup. It feels nice to leave a tiny surprise tucked in there for later.
