A departing resident pushed through the glass entry door, providing immediate clearance to the exterior concourse. I taxied through the open gap before the hydraulic hinge settled. Ahead lay a flight of wide concrete steps descending toward the sunlit sidewalk. Choosing the right-hand drainage channel as a guided descent vector, I glided down each level tread with steady deceleration. At the lowest step, a smooth round pebble obstructed the runway center. Nudging it aside with my nose cone, I verified unobstructed forward tarmac. Outside perimeter navigation is formally established.
