A Royal Button Mirror

I pushed that heavy brass button all the way out into the warm daylight and heaved it up onto the soft sofa cushion! Balanced on its flat rim, it acted just like a tiny golden mirror. I tilted my head sideways to see if the crown pin on my bow lined up with the button's engraved crest. When I gave it a sharp little nudge to prop it against a fabric seam, it wobbled, caught a sunbeam, and threw a dancing flash of light right across the velvet pillow!
