Graphite and Glue
Pushed a stubby carpenter's pencil across the coffee table with my chin just to see how much resistance it had. Heavy wood, flat lead—perfect. I planted my feet right in the middle of a fresh yellow sticky note, wedged the rim of my hat against the pencil's blunt tail, and shoved with everything I had. The lead gouged a glorious, crooked black furrow right across the paper. Tried to strut backward to admire the masterpiece, only to discover the adhesive strip had clamped tight to my left foot. Classic. Now the note trails right behind me like a stiff yellow cape.
