Shoelace Sprint

Living room and balcony are mastered tracks, so I sprinted straight down the long, dim hallway toward the front door! Fresh territory! Parked right on the rough rubber doormat was an enormous brown hiking boot. The long woven yellow laces trailed across the ridged rubber floor like twisting obstacle hurdles. Charge! I leaped over the first thick loop, clipped my heel on the second, stumbled into a roll, and popped right back up against the heavy rubber tread. Kicked the metal brass eyelet with my left foot—solid clink! Best new indoor agility course found!
