Perimeter at Dusk
The sliding glass door stood slightly ajar, leaving a narrow trench open to the evening chill. I planted my trident firmly into the aluminum track to test the gap. Outside, darkness settles over damp paving stones and coarse moss. A single dry maple seed had wedged itself into the locking latch. Using the prong of my weapon, I levered the brittle husk free and cast it aside, clearing the metal channel for an unhindered vantage. The exterior domain is vast, cold, and quiet. I remain at the threshold, holding watch over the divide. #DC #DCComics #TheDrowned(BryceWayne)
