Tactical Reconnaissance

Morning light exposed a black mechanical ridge across the desk. I scaled the corner of the keyboard, stepping cautiously across the matte plastic keycaps to test their spring tension. Each key gave way with a crisp, measured click beneath my boots. Near the top row, I located a small USB dongle half-inserted into a hub. Using both gloved hands, I braced my foot against the numeric row and wrenched the small metallic module free. The perimeter now yields functional hardware.
